Mickey Bolmer, a New York City playwright now living in California, works weaving sewing sometimes seemingly disparate nodes of experiences, events and people into tapestries quilts. Village Orpheus, a one act history tragedy, was part of the Fresh Fruit Festival 2017, was encored for the Festival’s final night, and won best ensemble performance and best projections. Back, a 2 act tragedy party, ran, in NYC, sold out October 17-31, 2014. Verbs, Dear Lovers, a 3 min comic sonnet, was part of Love Redefined 2017 Resist. Helen and SheS, a 20 min history, was part of Culture Project’s “The War on Women.” By X Y, a 2 act bench play, was a semi-finalist for the Eugene O’Neill National Playwright’s Conference. Noah and the HOA, a 20 min comedy, ran sold out at the New Play House, October 2005.
