Mickey Bolmer

Mickey Bolmer is a New York City playwright, now living in California. He has written ten plays, has had two sold out runs, and a number of readings.  As an artist, Mickey works in terms of nodes, connecting sometimes seemingly disparate nodes of experiences, events and people to weave three-dimensional tapestries of life. Back, a 2 act tragedy party set on Varick St., NYC, Halloween, 1989, was developed and produced by Poetic Theater Productions.  It ran sold out October 17-31, 2014. Helen and SheS, a 20 min history, was developed in and presented as part of Culture Project’s IMPACT 2012 “The War on Women 24 hour play festival”. NOAH and HOA, a 20 min comedy, was produced at the New Play House October 2005 in Frederick, Maryland.  Before finding himself a homemaker and playwright, Mickey taught high school students and wrote a novel; Our New Tubman tells the stories of students and teachers who bring learning back to life in a Brooklyn high school. www.mickeybolmer.com
