Watani Marks-McThomas HeadshotWatani Marks-McThomas is a writer, director, producer whose directing career spans over twenty years. Watani studied film and television production at the Howard University School of Communications and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies from Evergreen State College. Her body of work includes writing and directing several theatrical productions such as “African Violet” and the critically acclaimed musical “I’ll Take You There.” Watani worked in television for the nationally syndicated program “America’s Black Forum,” and has directed television pilots for Freestyle Union TV. Having worked on music videos and independent film productions, she has also directed and produced three independent films “Oblique,” The Realm of Reality,” and “Daddy’s Home.” She is Founder/Creative Director of InnHerEye Entertainment, an entertainment company specializing in film, television, theater, and live events which serves to create innovative art that enlightens and elevates through the expansion of the mind. Her company motto, “Minds Moving In Motion”, represents her passion for creating substantive art that uplifts and expands the creative intelligence of viewers.
