About the Exhibit
OPEN THROUGH MARCH 4TH

U.S. Air Force veteran, Palm Springs-based photographer Omar Columbus and Salmagudian Paul M. Murray, the son of two WW II veterans and an award-winning photographer, have curated “Journeys Onward”, an exhibit of the art and accompanying words of military veterans or their family members.

Every member of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families embark on a journey of experiences that are both shared by many, and specific to everyone. Those experiences can be complex and enduring–perhaps lifelong. Their impact and intensity may be hard to grasp for those outside the military community.

Many want to tell their stories, but those conversations can be difficult to start. Often, art can be a starting place to communicate with others.

Beyond the exhibit’s art and related words, the reception will feature selected poetry readings from NYC-area veterans and other relevant activities.
