Mia AndersonA working artistic New York professional who was born in the Republic of Brooklyn. A woman of faith, published writer, an organizer for socio-economic justice , avid social networker, a burgeoning director and most importantly a committed actor. After completing my undergrad and conservatory in MA, I cast with BostonTheaterWorks, Commonwealth Shakespeare, The Theater Offensive and RadioDisney among others. Since returning to New York performed in over 11 films, including the award winning films including” Production”, “If I Leap” and most recently “Sleep”. My directing credits include an all womens’ cabaret troupe that I was the producer/founder, several one acts and a current alum of Lincoln Center Director’s Lab 2015. A burgeoning slam poet/writer, I have been featured at the Harlem Public library, the Joriga Theater and La Familia Cabaret. I have participated and placed in open mics at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Fresh Fruit Slam competition, WOW Cafe among others.
