Seeking Submissions for Poetic Theater Productions Presents... returning 10/22

on Thu, 09/27/2012 - 14:34

Our popular development series, Poetic Theater Productions Presents... continues in October!

Poetic Theater Productions is now accepting submissions for the next installment of Poetic Theater Productions Presents..., which will take place Monday, October 22nd at 7PM at the Wild Project - 195 E 3rd St. This is one of the best ways to introduce yourself to our company as an artist!

Poetic Theater Productions Presents... is an opportunity for writers and performers to present what they are working on, to exchange ideas and inspiration with artists of various styles and to continue to build a community of artists developing new poetic theater works.

We will present 4-8 pieces, 5-15 minutes in length. These can be complete pieces or excerpts of poetic theater or theatrical poetry. Artists are generally responsible for casting their own pieces, although we are happy to provide recommendations if desired. Some are presented as cold readings, others as fully-rehearsed stage performances- it is up to you how you would like to present! Music stands will be provided.

Poets and playwrights previously featured in Poetic Theater Productions Presents... include Shadrack Boakye, Akua Doku, Zoë Flowers, Kate Foster, Keelay Gibson, Sarah Holmes, Rachel Jendrzejewski, Angela Kariotis, Edward McWilliams, Takeo Rivera, Sita Sarkar, Elliott D. Smith, Saviana Stanescu, Samantha Toh and more.
